My my my…SIFF is back again this April!!! & there's just so many movies to catch so lil time...

For those not in tha know, tha late Edward Said, an Arab Palestinian Christian, is a well-known literary theorist and activist of tha Palestinian movement. He is like my favouritest non-fiction author/ thinker/ critic & definitely one of tha most prominent INTELLECTUALS of our time...in my books! His writings on the Arab Palestinian displacement have really touched me so much and not only invoked a lot of thought but also spurred my insight on so many levels. And any Said aficionado will know that his 'Orientalism' is just a masterpiece in a class of its own. So this is really a double whammy for me…

So far I have not come across any Said fan in my circles so if any of ya'll are in the 'closet'… please COME OUT! =)
